| Couple of weeks ago we were in class and all of a sudden we heard this thunderous sound. I thought the roof was going to cave in. We look outside and there was a shower of hail! It was the size of gumballs! It was pinging off of cars and within two minutes the streets were blanketed white. I literally could not see the black of the pavement or the green of the grass. It was like a huge white gumball machine exploded! Of all the days, thank the Lord that I parked under a tree that day. So my car was ok, just covered with green leaves and I could not see out the windows. It took me days to get the leaves to fly off of my car. It was amazing! It's so cool to live somewhere where the weather is different from what I have been used to all of my life. Can't wait for my first tornado! Oooooooooooh! | | |
| Wanna know something funny? I'm a halmonie! I went to a family dohl over the weekend and here is where Korean realtionships get so complicated. J's father is the youngest in his generation and our gomoh is much older than him. So that makes J's cousins much older than we are and their kids a little younger than us. So they have been calling J samchoon. So it was weird when I got here and they started calling me weh seuk moh. So now that they have a kid, we are hal ah buh ji and hal mon ie. Ahhhhhhh! How life changes so fast! Hahahahahaha. | | |
| I love cash back! I have had these redeemable cash back rewards with Discover for a long time but nothing was worth while to redeem them. That is until now! I have been waiting for a while to get the Ken Onion Shun knife but we have been hesitating waiting for sales or for it to come into Bed Bath and Beyond, but no knife! It's been sold out for months and I had gift certificates to use at BBB. I know you are asking yourself is it really worth it kikohmo? Let me tell you. I have the other Shun knives and it's the bomb! Remember Ginsu knives? They cut even better! (Just over-exagerating now. I don't know that for a fact) I love them and so knew the $200 to get this knife would be worth it. I know, a lot of money. Hence the extreme cringing of my husband when I would mention it, but even when he used the other Shun knife we do have, he could tell it is superior. If you are a lover of cooking like me or you do a lot of cooking, I really recommend this line of knives. Will save you time, money, and wrist pain. Awesome! So getting back to cash back rewards. I haven't looked at my rewards for a while and when I looked into it today, I found that a partner, www.cooking.com had the knife and I quickly redeemed my rewards and voila! I got a $200 knife for FREE! Now THAT'S AWESOME! What a way to make my day! The littlest things make me so happy! Hahahahaha. | | |
| One good thing about Colorado. I see cows and mountains all the time! | | |
| Ahhhhhhh! Finally, we got our own cable internet service instead of relying on "borrowing" someone else's unprotected service. Hehehehe. I should thank the foot of snow we had last week. J got snowed in and had to work from home, but wouldn't you know it? The usual person we "borrow" from just wasn't cooperating. Finally, my finance conscious husband had to order cable. Whoo woo! Now I can get on when I want to- hopefully! I have an interesting story. Jae and I were watching tv the other day and 'Super-size Me' came on. As we were watching I commented that it was in NYC. I could recognize places, streets, and almost smell the stinky streets. Then we keep watching and this guy says that he has three doctors. And then I realize that one of the doctors was my doctor when I was in NYC! What a small world! | | |
